Giving Thanks for the CASP Community

As we gather with family and other loved ones to celebrate Thanksgiving, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for everyone who has given time, talent, and treasure to the Cuban Art Song Project this year. Together, we have achieved more than I could have imagined. This month, we want to say, "thank you" for helping us bring the music we all love to people around the world.

Highlights of the Year

This year, we offered concerts, established the CASP organization nonprofit, released our debut album, and hosted a vinyl release party for nearly 100 guests in person and online.

  • Concerts

Isabella and Pablo took the songs from "Se fue" to audiences in Massachusetts, New Jersey, Yonkers, and all over New York City. The full band re-assembled to partner with the Latin American Art Triennial to deliver an outdoor concert on Governor's Island.

  • CASP Organization

The Cuban Art Song Organization officially filed for nonprofit status earlier this year. We have a wonderful board of seven dedicated professionals with different areas of expertise.

  • "Se fue"

After months of planning, recording, and fundraising, CASP's debut album, "Se fue" is now available on all streaming platforms and on vinyl! Thank you to our record label, Lexicon Classics, our producers, and our engineer MP Kuo.

  • Vinyl Release Party

CASP supporters gathered at Culture Lab in Long Island City to celebrate the vinyl release of "Se fue." Isabella, Pablo, Taka, and Pedro played the entire album live for supporters in person and via livestream from all over the world.

How Your Support Made a Difference

Your support came in many forms: financial donations, attending our concerts, volunteering at CASP events, and sharing our music with friends and family. Your support helped us expand our offerings and reach new audiences:

  • Expanded Reach

Se fue has been streamed over 36,000 times on Spotify alone, reaching listeners all over the world. CASP has been especially popular with listeners in Mexico, the UK, Brazil, and the United States.

  • Podcast Appearances

Isabella and Jon have shared CASP's story on a number of podcasts, including "Between the Notes," "No One Wants to Hear That" and "VocalFri."

  • Sustained Growth

We have developed partnerships with art song series, latin cultural associations, and other arts organizations. We look forward to the many opportunities that these relationships will offer in the years to come!

Looking Ahead

We have many exciting things planned for 2026 that we look forward to sharing with you in the new year!

Final Thoughts

2025 has truly been the year of "Se fue," Between the digital release, promotion, and vinyl release, we have loved being able to share the music of Ernesto Lecuona and the story of CASP with the world. We are so thankful for your support and look forward to continuing this journey together.
